Gus Araya
Job Title: Co-Founder
Organization: Cordillera Investment Partners
Agustin “Gus” Araya is a Co-Founder and Co-Managing Partner of Cordillera Investment Partners. He is responsible for directing Cordillera’s overarching investment strategy alongside his co-founders. He also serves as a director of Cordillera portfolio companies. Prior to founding Cordillera, Gus was a Partner at Makena Capital Management where he was responsible for Makena’s Natural Resources investments and a member of the Firm’s Investment Committee and Private Equity team. Prior to that, he was an Associate Director of Private Assets at the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation and held various finance roles at Intuit, Horsley Bridge Partners and D.A. Campbell Company. Gus holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from UCLA and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Gus is a CFA charter holder.
Rana Mitra
Job Title: Managing Director, Structured Credit
Organization: Brookfield Oaktree
Mr. Mitra is a managing director for Oaktree’s Structured Credit strategy, focusing on the Asset-Backed Finance platform. Prior to joining the firm in 2025, he was a managing director and portfolio manager at Atalaya Capital Management where he led the investment and portfolio management for their equipment fund, and focused on equipment and other specialty finance verticals including assetbased lending, supply chain finance, SME lending, as well as aviation. Prior thereto, Mr. Mitra was a vice president at Del Mar Asset Management, a multi-strategy hedge fund, which spanned credit, special situations, and derivatives. He began his career with roles at Marc Bell Capital Partners and Bear Sterns. Mr. Mitra holds a B.Sc. in economics summa cum laude from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Tom O'Connor
Organization: BlackRock
Tom O’Connor is a Vice President at BlackRock, serving on the U.S. Wealth Advisory SMA Solutions business development team. In this role, he works with financial advisors and institutional partners to support the implementation and growth of customized separately managed account (SMA) solutions, including tax managed and factor based strategies. Based in Philadelphia, Tom focuses on building long term client relationships and helping partners translate investment objectives into scalable portfolio solutions. Tom holds a BA in Economics from Bucknell University and played lacrosse.
Tommy Sopko

Mr. Sopko is a Credit Investment Specialist within Ares Wealth Management Solutions, which oversees Ares' client management activities in the global wealth channel. Prior to joining Ares in 2023, Mr. Sopko was a member of the Business Development team at Bardin Hill Investment Partners, where he focused on credit strategies. Mr. Sopko holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Bucknell University, and a M.S. in Management from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business.
Jack Vogel

Dr. Vogel conducts research in empirical asset pricing and behavioral finance. Dr. Vogel is a co-author of DIY FINANCIAL ADVISOR: A Simple Solution to Build and Protect Your Wealth and QUANTITATIVE MOMENTUM: A Practitioner’s Guide to Building a Momentum-Based Stock Selection System. His academic background includes experience as an instructor and research assistant at Drexel University in both the Finance and Mathematics departments, as well as a Finance instructor at Villanova University. He has a Ph.D. in Finance and an MS in Mathematics from Drexel University. Dr. Vogel graduated summa cum laude with a BS in Mathematics and Education from The University of Scranton.
Addison West
Job Title: Sr. Managing Director
Organization: Axcedlus
Addison brings over 20 years of experience in the investment management industry. He focuses on educating and building relationships with RIAs, banks, broker-dealers, and both multi-family and single-family offices, supporting their efforts to incorporate customized insurance solutions into client portfolios. Addison also dedicates significant time to partnering with asset managers in the IDF and private placement space to help expand access to a wide range of investment options. Before joining Axcelus, Addison held roles at Cramer Rosenthal McGlynn, Dakota Funds Group, and XA Investments. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from Amherst College.
