Description:CAIA Zurich Alternative Assets in a Multi Asset Context CAIA Zurich in collaboration with CFA Society Switzerland, invites you to an exclusive event focused on Alternative Assets in a Multi-Asset Context, with a special emphasis on the integration of illiquid investments into diversified portfolios.
Over the past decade, assets under management in alternative asset classes—such as private equity, infrastructure, and private debt—have grown significantly. This trend is no longer limited to institutional portfolios. Wealth management clients are increasingly allocating to alternative assets as well, making them an important complement to traditional investments within multi-asset portfolios. As alternatives become more mainstream, asset allocators and investment professionals must consider how to effectively integrate these assets into their asset allocation frameworks and portfolio modelling. This expert discussion will explore how alternative and illiquid assets can be incorporated into a multi-asset context and highlight key operational considerations investors should be aware of. Key topics of the panel include: - How can alternative and illiquid assets be integrated into a multi-asset portfolio?
- What value can these asset classes add to a diversified portfolio of traditional assets?
- What challenges and operational considerations arise when integrating them (liquidity planning, rebalancing, costs, modelling, and manager selection)?
- What experiences have panelists gained with alternative assets over the past 5–10 years?
