Description:
Infrastructure - Private Investment in Public Good?

McKinsey estimates that the world needs to invest an average of $3.3 trillion annually in economic infrastructure through 2030 to keep pace with projected GDP growth. In 2017, the American Society of Civil Engineers once again marked the quality of American infrastructure a D+, estimating a $2 trillion funding gap to get to a B grade of in ten years. Yet the appetite for American public spending is unproven, and compared to Europe, experience with public-private partnerships is light.  What are the implications? Our infrastructure panel will demystify infrastructure by exploring the following topics:
  • How to address growing global infrastructure needs
  • Best practices for creating public/private infrastructure financing models
  • Energy infrastructure - where is it heading?
  • Growth in sustainable infrastructure projects
