Rewiring the Investment Industry: Talent, Technology, and Transformation CAIA Association, in collaboration with Man Group, invites you to a conversation on the future of talent and the investment industry in a rapidly changing world. Investment firms are facing new demands around talent, adaptability and lifelong learning. How can organisations prepare their people for an industry that is increasingly shaped by forces like AI? This fireside conversation will explore how the investment profession is being reshaped, from the skills and standards required of future talent to the organisational changes needed to remain adaptable. The discussion will also consider the role of firms, industry bodies and professional education in preparing investment professionals for what comes next.

John Bowman

John was appointed CEO for the CAIA Association in January 2025. He has devoted over 25 years to the asset management industry to recover the narrative of the value that the investment profession brings to society. He is a staunch public advocate for market integrity, long-termism, investor outcomes, diversity, human dignity and educational standards, as necessary ingredients to building a sustainable and healthy profession. John previously served as Managing Director for the Americas for CFA Institute, a region comprised of 40+ countries from Canada, the U.S., Central America, South America and the Caribbean. Before that, John was a portfolio manager for non-US equity strategies at both Boston Company and SSgA for several years. John is a prolific, speaker, writer and commentator, frequently keynoting industry conferences and appearing in investment and business publications such as the Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Pension and Investments, Financial Advisor, The Independent, Wealthmanagement.com and CNBC. Bowman earned a BS in Business Administration from Mary Washington College and is a CFA charterholder.

Robyn Grew is CEO of Man Group, a global alternative investment management firm with USD 253.6 billion* assets under management that is listed on the London Stock Exchange. As CEO, she leads the firm’s Executive Committee and is an executive director on the Man Group Board. She joined Man Group in 2010, through its acquisition of GLG, and has also served as Group COO, Head of ESG, General Counsel and President. Robyn has worked in the investment industry since 1994. Previously, she held senior global positions at investment banks in London, New York and Tokyo, including Barclays Capital and Lehman Brothers, as well as what is now the ICE Futures Europe exchange. Robyn is a qualified barrister and member of the Standards Board for Alternative Investment (SBAI) Board of Trustees.
