Sidney Baumgartner
Job Title: Senior Client Partner
Organization: Korn Ferry


Sidney Baumgartner is a member of Korn Ferry’s Global Asset Management practice, where he advises investment managers, alternative investors, asset allocators, and insurance firms on building high-performing investment teams and leadership structures.

He specializes in recruiting Chief Investment Officers and other Senior Investment Leaders across public and private markets and is recognized for his deep market fluency and strategic counsel to clients navigating organizational growth, transformation, and succession.

Sidney brings over a decade of executive search experience and has completed numerous search assignments in areas of investments, distribution, management, and infrastructure. He also serves as a consultant to the alternative investment industry helping shape talent strategies aligned with evolving capital formation models.

Prior to joining Korn Ferry, he worked for a global recruitment firm out of their Europe and North America offices, with a sector focus on capital markets and investment banking.

Sidney graduated from the University of Portsmouth, UK, where he earned a B.A.(honors) in Business Administration. Sidney hails from Zurich, Switzerland and speaks fluent French and German.


Richard Hsu
Job Title: Bay Area Chapter Executive

Richard Hsu has served as senior vice president, portfolio manager and senior research analyst for Franklin Templeton’s Investment Solutions group (FTIS). In this role, he was the co-portfolio manager for the group’s flagship Franklin Global Allocation Fund with day-to-day fixed income responsibilities. He also helped lead both the fixed income and alternatives asset allocation research efforts with a specialization in corporate credit for the public and private markets.

Mr. Hsu has also served as a member of the FTIS senior investment asset allocation committee as well as the firm’s Fixed Income Research and Strategy Committee (FIRST).

Mr. Hsu previously served as a co-portfolio manager of Franklin Templeton’s largest flagship fund, the Franklin Income Fund, and related strategies, specializing in corporate bank loans and high yield bonds.

After joining Franklin Templeton, Mr. Hsu co-founded the floating rate bank loan group and then served as the senior portfolio manager of the Franklin Floating Rate Daily Access Fund and its two related offshore funds for over 10 years.  He also has covered a broad range of sectors across the leveraged finance universe with a strong focus on Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT), as well as LBOs and M&A transactions.

Mr. Hsu holds both a Bachelor of Arts with honors and a Masters degree from Stanford University.  He holds both the Charter Financial Analyst (CFA) and Charter Alternative Investment Analyst Association (CAIA) designations. He is a Chapter Executive for the CAIA Bay Area Chapter and a member of the CFA Society of San Francisco.

His finance and executive affiliations include the Association of Asian American Investment Managers (AAAIM), Financial Executives International, Stanford Professionals in Investing & Finance, and San Francisco Bond Club.


Milana Khodorkovskaya

Milana is a Senior Client Partner and a member of the Firm’s Global Private Markets Practice based in New York.

Milana specializes in executive search and talent advisory for Private Markets Investment Managers. Typical clients include General Partners, Asset Owners, Family Offices, and other alternative asset management firms.

Milana has significant experience working across the spectrum of illiquid investment strategies including Private Equity, Private Credit, Secondaries, GP Stakes, Infrastructure, Growth Equity, Venture Capital, among others.

Her functional areas of specialization include recruiting senior professionals in investing, capital raising, deal origination, fund CFOs, COOs, GCs, operating partners and other senior-level executives.

Milana also works closely with the portfolio companies of her private equity clients to access C-level executive recruitment as well as the full spectrum of Korn Ferry’s talent advisory capabilities including compensation advisory, D&I, executive assessment, succession planning, etc.

Prior to joining Korn Ferry Milana was with a global investment manager in various roles including as an Associate Portfolio Manager serving institutional clients.

Milana earned her MBA from NYU Stern School of Business and a BBA in Finance from Pace University.

She speaks fluent Russian.


Kate Romanowicz
Job Title: Senior Client Partner

Ms. Romanowicz advises private equity funds and alternative asset managers on senior hires, including Investment Professionals, Operating Partners, and Investor Relations Professionals.

Ms. Romanowicz also supports financial sponsors by enhancing and assessing leadership in portfolio companies in pre-and post-deal situations to ensure alignment between talent, strategy, and value-creation objectives. This includes Chairman, Non-Executive Director, and C-suite level appointments.

Prior to joining Korn Ferry, Ms. Romanowicz worked for a boutique executive search firm where she helped to grow the private equity practice, working with strategy consulting firms and institutional investors on a global basis and led the firm’s initiatives in diversity

She previously worked as a Consultant for the United Nations and was based in New York, Warsaw, and Dubai.

Ms. Romanowicz holds a master of arts degree in Geography from the University of St. Andrews and a master of science degree in Urbanization and Development from the London School of Economics.

Ms. Romanowicz serves as a Board Member for Junior Achievement of Greater Miami. 

She speaks fluent Polish.
