Jack Edwards
Organization: Phoenix Group


Jack Edwards joined Phoenix in 2021 as senior investment manager and currently heads the Structured Credit and Alternatives division within Private Markets. His team is responsible for the origination, structuring and execution of structured investments including securitisations, repacks, and asset-backed lending, as well as working as subject matter experts for private equity and venture capital. Jack has 13 years of experience and joined from Lloyds Bank Corporate markets where he was interest rates derivative structurer, responsible for executing swap repacks, credit protection transactions, managing the balance guaranteed swap portfolio for ABS transactions and assisting with complex corporate derivative execution. Prior to this, he worked across the Lloyds Bank Capital Markets business as an analyst covering Project Finance, DCM, Leveraged Finance and ABS. He holds a Masters of Engineering in Civil Engineering from University of Bristol (First Class) and is a CFA charter holder.


Stuart Fiertz
Organization: Cheyne Capital


Stuart Fiertz is the Co-Founder, President of Cheyne Capital. From 1991 to June 2000, and prior to establishing Cheyne Capital, Stuart worked for Morgan Stanley where he was responsible for the development and implementation of customised portfolio strategies and for credit research in the convertible bond management practice. Stuart is a CFA® charterholder and a CAIA designee. He is a Founder & Trustee of the Standards Board for Alternative Investments (SBAI) and the past chairman of the Alternative Credit Council (ACC). From 2014 until 2020, Stuart was also a council director of the Alternative Investment Management Association (AIMA) board. Stuart was educated at the International School of Geneva and at Dartmouth College where he was awarded a BA degree in Political Science and Economics.


Elena Koycheva


Elena is Head of the CAIA London Chapter and is a Board member of the CFA UK Society, where she also chairs the Sustainability Board-level committee. Throughout her career Elena has developed experience in the areas of ESG, responsible investing, fixed income, multi-asset, alternative and traditional investments in both business development and investment roles. Elena’s academic qualifications include a Summa Cum Laude Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a Concentration in Finance and Master’s degrees in Portfolio Management, Corporate Finance and Banking, Finance and Risk Management. Elena is a CFA charterholder, a CAIA charterholder, a CIPM designation holder and has obtained the IMC qualification, the CFA Certificate in ESG Investing, the Certificate in Climate and Investing and the Certificate in Impact Investing. Elena’s contribution to the investment management industry has been recognised as the winner of the “Unsung Hero” category in the Women in Investment Awards 2023, winner of the “Diversity and Inclusion Leader of the Year” Award 2020 by Funds Europe; she has also been featured in the HERoes Future Leaders lists.


Matthieu Le Bret
Organization: Norddeutsche Landesbank


Matthieu Le Bret serves as the Global Head of Structured Credit Distribution within the Syndications & Investment Solutions division at Norddeutsche Landesbank Girozentrale (NORD/LB). In this capacity, he is responsible for making assets originated by NORD/LB accessible to non-bank investors, focusing on structured finance and energy transition projects. Before assuming his current role, Matthieu spent a decade in Asia, where he gained significant experience in structured credit products and alternative investments. His international exposure has equipped him with a deep understanding of diverse financial markets and the ability to adapt structured credit technology to various financing needs. Matthieu holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation and the Financial Risk Manager (FRM) certification, underscoring his expertise in alternative investments and risk management. He has been a CAIA member since 2013. In his role at NORD/LB, Matthieu has been instrumental in initiatives such as the USD 500 million ESG co-investment program with Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, aimed at mobilizing investment into renewable energy projects. This program reflects his commitment to facilitating the transition to a low-carbon economy through innovative financial solutions. Matthieu's career is marked by a blend of technical proficiency and strategic insight, enabling him to navigate complex financial landscapes and drive impactful investment initiatives.
