Description:
The CAIA Singapore Chapter, in partnership with SMU! Would like to invite you to join our upcoming Lunchtime Education Forum:  Alternatives in Wealth Management Forum

Creating a balanced alternative investment program – How can you best marry your private equity, hedge fund and real asset programs and investment teams?

As traditional investments become increasingly commoditized and correlated, many wealth managers have allocated capital to alternative asset classes. What are the hurdles to establishing and managing an alternative investment program for clients? How can wealth managers best capture informational synergies across their fund selection/investment teams and fund providers? Does it make sense to integrate public and private equity into a single asset class? What is the most appropriate allocation to each asset class, and from which traditional asset classes should the capital for these alternative programs be drawn? Private equity, hedge funds, infrastructure, real estate: which alternative strategies have lived up to our expectations, which have not, and what are we planning to do about it? In 2017 what do you see being the top advantages / opportunities of planning with alternative assets? Alternative assets continue to gain importance in Asia, what are the latest trends you have witnessed? What is one of the industry’s biggest misconceptions around alternative assets?
