Description:Alternative Investments Education & Networking Night "Investor attitudes and expectations for alternative investment products"
This event is geared towards millennials that have an educational or professional focus in alternative investments in the New York metro area. Our goal is to host events whereby experienced investors can share their knowledge with the aspiring investors of the future while also creating a strong network of young professionals focused in alternatives
We will hear from allocators on where the various alternative products are available today and how each product would best fit into a portfolio depending on the goals of the investor.

Peter Brady
Job Title: Head of Business Development
Organization: BCK Capital Management LP
Peter Brady is Head of Business Development at BCK Capital Management LP. Prior to BCK Capital, Peter was a Director at Société Générale and its affiliates and worked for the Condorcet Global Opportunity Fund (and predecessor entity). Prior to joining Société Générale, he was Director of Marketing at hedge fund seeding specialist Larch Lane Advisors from 2009 to 2012. Mr. Brady previously was Director of Marketing at Prisma Capital Partners from 2006 to 2009 and Vice President of Marketing at Financial Risk Management from 2004 to 2006. He received a J.D. and M.B.A. from Columbia University in 1998 and a B.A. in Economics in 1993, also from Columbia.
Sanford Brown
Job Title: Managing Director of Business Development
Organization: Alternative Investment Group
Sanford Brown is the Managing Director of Business Development for Alternative Investment Group responsible for developing relationships with institutional consultants, wealth advisors and investors, including endowments, foundations, pension plans and family offices. Sanford is a member of the firm’s ESG and Sustainable Investing Committee. He joined the firm in July 2012.
Prior to joining Alternative Investment Group, Sanford was a Director of Sales and Marketing at Larch Lane Advisors, an affiliate of Old Mutual Asset Management. Prior to that, he was the Director of Alternative Investments for Old Mutual Asset Management. He also previously oversaw U.S. hedge fund distribution at Deutsche Bank and Global Asset Management (GAM).
Sanford holds a B.A. in English from the University of Vermont.
Eric Burkett
Job Title: Co-Head of Alternative Investment Technical Specialists
Organization: Bank of America Corporation
Eric Burkett is a Director and Co-Head of Alternative Investment Technical Specialists for Bank of America Merrill Lynch Alternative Investments. Prior to joining Bank of America Merrill Lynch Alternative Investments in June 2010, Eric was a Vice President at Ivy Asset Management, the fund of hedge funds based in New York. Eric worked as part of Ivy’s Strategic Solutions and Development Team, which maintained global responsibility for Ivy's investor solutions and capital markets activity. Prior to joining Ivy in March 2006, Eric worked as an Associate at BNP Paribas in their Hedge Fund Derivatives department. Eric began his career at J.P. Morgan in 1999, completing their 3-year analyst training program within the Structured Equity and Investment Banking departments.
Eric Wood
Job Title: Chief Investment Officer
Organization: Fordham University
Eric Wood is the Chief Investment Officer at Fordham University. He is responsible for all investment management aspects of the University’s endowment assets.
Eric has spent the majority of his career in the chief investment officer role, first for Asea Brown Boveri’s corporate retirement plans ($2.3B) where he spent the better part of a decade before founding Investment Solutions, Inc., a CIO outsourcing business, providing customized investment management services to mid-sized corporate funds. Before joining Fordham, Eric served as a Managing Director at Clearbrook Investment Consulting where he was charged with building their discretionary advisory business. He began his investment career with NYNEX Corporation where he had responsibility for the pension fund's $7 billion U.S. equity portfolio. Eric earned his MBA from the University of Connecticut and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
