Greg Bohlen
Organization: Union Grove Venture Partners
Before co-founding UGVP and Union Grove Farm, Greg
was Managing Director for Morgan Creek
Capital, expanding their venture exposure and raising a
$106M fund that became number one in its
class. Previously, Greg was a Portfolio Manager at
Wasatch Global Investors, initiating and leading
the venture investment category, Cross Creek Capital.
Early in his career, as the 23-year-old
President of Findlay Bancshares, Greg was the
youngest board chairman and bank president in the FDI
system.During Gregʼs 30 years in banking and venture
capital, he has invested in over 60 venture-backed
companies and successfully taken 24 companies
public, including startups like Sourcefire, Samba TV
and Beyond Meat. For Beyond Meat, Greg led the
investment for rounds C, D, and F, resulting in the
most successful public offering in the previous 20
years. In addition to its market success, Beyond
Meat also opened a new category of investment in
plant-based alternatives and was pivotal in
Gregʼs shift to focus on green businesses that create a
healthy and sustainable planet.
Wolfgang Drobetz
Organization: University of Hamburg
Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Drobetz holds the Chair of Finance
and Portfolio Management at the University of
Hamburg. He received his doctorate from the Swiss
Institute of Banking and Finance at the University of St.
Gallen (HSG) and his habilitation at the Centre for
Economic Sciences at the University of Basel. He has
taught at Bucerius Law School, WHU - Otto Beisheim
School of Management and IAE Business School and
was an Honorary Visiting Research Fellow at the Judge
Business School of the University of Cambridge. He is
co-editor of several international scientific journals and
serves as managing director of the Hamburg Financial
Research Center e.V. (HFRC).
Christoph Kind
Organization: Marcard, Stein & Co.
Dr Christoph Kind is Chief Investment Officer and Head
of Portfolio Management at the Hamburg multi-family
office bank Marcard, Stein & Co. After studying
economics and completing his doctorate, he worked as
an economist at BHF-Bank and as a portfolio manager
at the fund company Frankfurt-Trust, where he built up
and headed the asset allocation division. He is a
lecturer at the Ludwigshafen University of Business and
Society and a speaker on a course for certified family
officers.
Silvia Writzel
Organization: Asset Allocation Advisors
Mrs. Writzel began her career at Austrian financial service provider C-Quadrat GmbH, where she worked in client service. Since May 1998, Mrs. Writzel has looked after Asset Allocation AG’s institutional clients and is also responsible for product selection. A Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) with 25 years’ capital market experience, Mrs. Writzel has a solid background in alternative investments.
