Frank Barbarino


Frank is a Senior Vice President and Head of Institutional Capital at Triterras, where he assists institutional investors in deploying capital to trade finance. He has 23 years of experience in asset management including capital allocation to alternative investment strategies, business development, and fintech. Prior to this, he was a director with private markets fintech platform Templum. Frank was also a Senior Investment Officer with the $250 billion New York City Retirement Systems pension plans, a Vice President at Goldman Sachs, a Principal and Investment Strategist at The Carlyle Group, and a Senior Research Consultant at NEPC. He received an M.B.A with a concentration in Finance from the University of Rochester, Simon Business School and earned a B.A. from Union College with double majors in Economics and Music. Frank is also a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designee and a SASB FSA credential holder.


Sweta Chanda


Ms. Sweta Chanda is a Managing Director, Head of Business Strategy of Monroe Capital. She is responsible for firmwide strategy, product and corporate development, and new initiatives to expand Monroe’s global footprint. Ms. Chanda has over 15 years of experience in asset management and has achieved business growth through strategic stewardship, new product development and sourcing of M&A opportunities. Prior to Monroe, Ms. Chanda was a Director at New York Life Investment Management (NYLIM) within the Strategy and M&A team responsible for heading alternative investment strategy, where she helped launch a European Opportunistic Credit Fund, European CLO platform, GP Stakes Fund, and a Social Impact Fund amongst other strategic business development and growth opportunities for NYLIM. Prior to NYLIM, she was a Vice President at Blackstone, where she led initiatives related to cross platform mandates, relationship management, and operations across the firm’s Hedge Fund Solutions platform. Prior to Blackstone, she was an Assistant Vice President at Lehman Brothers in the Business Process Alignment Group working on strategy and process alignment for the investment banking division, and a Client Relations Associate, Management Consultant at Starpoint Solutions. Ms. Chanda earned her B.S. in TXA Management and Foundations in Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin.


Pete Keliuotis


Pete Keliuotis, CFA, is an executive vice president and the head of Callan’s Alternatives Consulting group, which includes the private equity, private credit, and hedge fund consulting teams. In addition to leading these teams, he performs research and advises clients’ alternatives investment portfolios. Pete is a member of Callan’s Alternatives Review, Client Policy Review, Management, and Editorial committees. Previously, he was a senior managing director of Cliffwater LLC and a senior member of their portfolio advisory team, specializing in alternative investing for institutional clients. Prior to Cliffwater, Pete was a managing director and the CEO of Strategic Investment Solutions, where he led the general and private markets consulting teams and advised several large institutional investors. Previous experience includes Mercer Investment Consulting, where he was a principal and senior consultant, Hotchkis and Wiley in Los Angeles, and Northern Trust Company in Chicago. Pete earned a BS in economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, his MBA in analytic finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and he is a holder of the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation.


Sengal Selassie


Sengal Selassie is the CEO and Founder of Brightwood. Mr. Selassie has been involved in all phases of the firm’s development since its founding in 2010. He is a member of the Executive Committee and serves on the Investment Committee of all Brightwood Managed Funds. Mr. Selassie currently participates on the boards of many of Brightwood’s portfolio companies and has managed capital for hundreds of limited partners, including a number of prominent public, private and corporate pension plans, endowments, family offices, and high net worth individuals. Prior to forming Brightwood, Mr. Selassie led Cowen Capital Partners, LLC (“Cowen Capital”), where he served as managing partner from 2006 through 2009. Mr. Selassie joined Cowen Capital from SG Capital Partners LLC (“SG Capital”), Cowen Capital’s predecessor fund where he worked from 1998 through 2006. At SG Capital he was a Managing Director and served as group head starting in 2002. Prior to SG Capital, Mr. Selassie worked in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group at Morgan Stanley where he helped media and telecommunications companies execute strategic transactions. He began his career in the Corporate Finance Group of the Investment Banking Division of Goldman Sachs in 1990. Sengal earned an A.B. in economics from Harvard College and M.B.A. and J.D. with honors from Harvard University.
