HOMER HILL
Organization: KPMG


Homer is a Principal in KPMG’s Regulatory Risk Services practice with more than 29 years within the Federal Reserve System distinguished by extensive supervisory and operations management leadership. He has a proven record of handling some of the most complex supervisory relationships including guiding three top global banks through significant regulatory changes and actions. His broad supervisory experience spans SIFIs, major foreign banks, regional and community banks. Furthermore, he has ability to transform organizations with proficiency in developing and managing large, multi-function teams.


David Konop
Organization: KPMG US


Managing Director - KPMG Dave is a Managing Director in the Economic and Valuation Services (EVS) practice based in San Francisco with over 20 years of financial analysis experience. His valuation work at KPMG focuses on private equity and financial services. He is the lead for EVS’ Western Financial Services Valuation Practice. His experience also includes bankruptcy work, purchase price allocations, goodwill impairment studies, business enterprise and equity valuations as well as the valuation of complex financial instruments. Prior to joining KPMG, Dave worked in the derivatives industry as a risk manager/trader and in the banking industry. He received his undergraduate degree in economics and chemistry from Carleton College as well as an MBA from the University of Michigan- Ann Arbor.


Michael Maestas
Organization: Charles Schwab & Co., Inc.


Mr. Maestas is a Managing Director in the Alternative Investments group at Charles Schwab & Co., with responsibility for ongoing fund due diligence, risk management, and portfolio analytics. Prior to joining Charles Schwab, Mr. Maestas was a long/short equity analyst at Avalon Global Asset Management and was also the firm’s CCO. He was previously a Sr. Equity Analyst at Merrill Lynch, and started his career at Banc of America Securities and Arthur Andersen. He has also been an Adjunct Professor at University of San Francisco and St. Mary’s College, instructing courses inDerivative Markets, Equity Valuation, and Advanced Financial Statement Analysis. Mr. Maestas has an MBA from Columbia University, and a BSBA in Accounting from Bucknell University. He holds the Certified Public Accountant designation and the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.


Troy Prather
Organization: California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS)


Troy Prather is an Associate Investment Manager with the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS) specializing in Private Equity. Troy is responsible for managing and monitoring a portfolio of limited partnerships, including buyout, distressed debt and direct investments. Troy joined CalPERS Private Equity department in 2012 and manages the Private Equity Operations Group. Prior to joining CalPERS, Troy worked as a public accountant, performing business valuation and litigation consulting. Troy is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and has held credentials such as Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) and a Certified Forensic Financial Analyst (CFFA). Troy’s previous work experience includes audit and attest services for small and mid-sized companies. Troy formerly worked as a financial analyst in the Mutual Fund industry. Troy received his undergraduate degree from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego and his MBA from the University of California, Davis.
