Peter Klein
Organization: BullWealth


Peter Klein is Chief Investment Officer of BullWealth, an investment counselling firm that serves high net worth and institutional clients. Previously he was Advising Principal of KCS Fund Strategies Inc. and a Vice-President with CIBC/Wood Gundy Inc. where he participated in a wide range of capital market activities in their Toronto, Tokyo and London UK offices. Peter is also a professor of finance in the Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University. He has published in leading academic journals and has received awards such as the Barclays Global Investors Canada Research Award, the Chicago Board of Trade Award for Best Paper in Futures and Options and the Alternative Investment Management Association (Canada) Research Award for his research on hedge funds, asset allocation, derivative securities and asset pricing models. He holds a Ph.D. in financial economics from the University of Toronto, an MBA, LL.B. and B.Sc. from the University of Western Ontario, and is a CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), CBV (Chartered Business Valuator) and CPA, CGA (Chartered Professional Accountant, Certified General Accountant). He has served as Trustee and Chair of the Simon Fraser University Academic Pension Plan. He was formerly the Director for Continuing Education for CFA Vancouver and is currently a member of the research committee of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators.


Ryan Teal
Organization: Albourne Partners Limited


Ryan joined Albourne in 2010 and is a Partner in Albourne’s Operational Due Diligence group, based in Toronto. He leads a team of analysts covering alternative managers in Credit and Fixed Income strategies. Prior to Albourne Ryan worked at The Bank of Nova Scotia in the structured products group conducting investment and operational due diligence on hedge fund managers. Previously Ryan has operational experience at a Canadian pension plan and in hedge fund administration. Ryan is both a CFA and CAIA charterholder and has a BCom Finance from Ryerson University (Canada).
