Jeff DeBlock
Organization: CBRE Investment Management
Jeff is a Partner at CBRE Caledon, CBRE Global Investor’s private infrastructure platform. He is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, structuring, negotiating and executing infrastructure investments globally in OECD geographies. Jeff has over 15 years of diverse infrastructure experience with direct principal investment experience in North America, Europe, Australia, and South America. Jeff has been with CBRE Caledon since 2012 and is a member of the Firm’s investment committee.
Prior to joining CBRE Caledon, Jeff worked in the Private Investments - Infrastructure group at CPPIB where he was directly involved with investing in excess of $4 billion of equity. During Jeff’s tenure, CPPIB’s infrastructure AUM grew from a few hundred million to nearly $10 billion.
Jeff received his Bachelor of Arts with Honours from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of the Western Ontario.
Michael Glascott
Organization: Macquarie Group Limited
Michael joined Macquarie’s Infrastructure and Real Assets group in 2011. He has over 25 years of experience in private equity and investment management. Michael is responsible for working with the firm's global private infrastructure, agriculture, energy and real asset funds to build and maintain relationships with institutional limited partners and their advisors.
Prior to joining Macquarie, Michael was the co-founder of William Blair & Company’s Funds Placement Group, which later became the independent firm FPG Partners. In this role Michael worked with institutional investors in North America on a range of private market strategies including buyout, venture, real assets, mezzanine and special situations. Prior to funds placement he spent six years with William Blair & Company in investment banking executing M&A and equity capital markets transactions. Michael started his career in investment management with Prudential. He has an M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Chicago and an undergraduate degree in Economics from Brown University.
Tony Gordon
Organization: Avaio Capital
Tony has over 30 years of experience in executing investment strategies in energy and related infrastructure. As a partner at AVAIO, he brings a depth of experience from having built several infrastructure and related business in the power and midstream sectors in North America and Europe. Tony’s strong interest in climate and pollution issues dates to university, and he has founded and invested in several successful climate and sustainability platforms.
Prior to founding AVAIO, Tony spent 14 years at Och-Ziff Capital Management where he was co-founder of the energy private equity business and led investments in the power, midstream and upstream sectors as well as several carbon-reduction focused businesses. Prior to joining Och-Ziff, Tony was a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs. During his nine-year tenure there, he was co-founder of both their North American and European power and natural gas businesses, creating both Constellation and Orion, with over $500 million deployed into exiting and newbuild power and midstream assets.
Since 1989, Tony has been intimately involved in the creation of institutional capital approaches to mitigating the effects of climate change (e.g., OECD Institutional Capital/UHNW Dialogue and SWF Green Finance Forum/Initiative: Integrating Climate Change into Institutional Investment; and COPs: Copenhagen, Lima, Paris, and Bonn). Additionally, Tony has been at the forefront of institutional investment industry dialogue on Sustainability & ESG (Milken Institute; Yale Center on Environmental Law & Policy; and Yale Initiative on Sustainable Finance and Nobel Sustainability Award).
Tony holds a B.A. in Political Science from Amherst College and an M.S. in Environmental Studies from Yale University. While at Yale, Tony was a Sussman Fellow at the Overseas Private Investment Corporation. He was a founding member of the New York Mercantile Exchange Electric Power and Coal Contract Advisory Committees.
Jeremy Zirin
Organization: Marquette Associates
Jeremy is the Head of Real Assets research for Marquette Associates and has 10 years of investment experience. He joined Marquette in 2010 and is responsible for reviewing and conducting due diligence on real estate, infrastructure, and energy-related strategies and investment managers, as well as assembling macroeconomic research and data analysis. He is the vice chair of the firm’s alternative investment manager search committee, a member of the defined contribution services committee, impact investing group, and sits on the advisory board for a number of private real estate funds.
