Before we enjoy well-earned end of year celebrations, CAIA Australia is holding our last education events for 2023, on the topic of private credit.

We have a diverse group of experienced investors leading the discussion in each in each of Sydney and Melbourne. Given the interest in private credit this year, these panel discussions will be an opportunity to reflect on supply and demand factors and the impact of rising interest rates on the asset class.

The panel will discuss the changing roles of banks vs private lenders, compare Australian vs global credit markets and corporate vs other types of private debt. They will also talk about the pros and cons of the different ways of gaining access to private credit including funds (evergreen vs close-ended funds), co-investments and internal management. As we close out 2023, the discussion will turn to what can we expect in 2024 and beyond.
