The Executive Committee of CAIA's Australia Chapter is pleased to invite you to an exclusive educational luncheon on the topic of Venture Capital with Anastasia Di Carlo, Principal at Hamilton Lane and Leila Lee, Head Of Distribution, Square Peg Capital in Sydney and Alicia Gregory, Head of Private Equity, Future Fund and Leila Lee, Head Of Distribution, Square Peg Capital in Melbourne.
 
During each session, our presenters will discuss topics including:
  • Why invest in VC?
  • What trends are we seeing from local and global investors who allocate to VC?
  • What do VC’s focus on when selecting an investment?
  • An overview of the Australian VC landscape including examples of Australian VC backed companies?
  • What should investors look for in a VC manager?
 
A light lunch will be provided by the CAIA Association.

Alicia Gregory

Alicia Gregory – Head of Private Equity, Future Fund. Alicia is currently Head of Private Equity at Future Fund, Australia’s Sovereign Wealth Fund where she has responsibility for in excess of $22bn in assets invested in private equity. Prior to that she worked for MLC for 17 years, most recently as Head of Private Equity. Alicia has over 20 years’ experience in the financial services sector and holds a Bachelor of Business from University of Technology, Sydney, is a CFA charterholder and has completed the General Management Programme at INSEAD.


Leila Lee


Leila Lee, Head of Distribution, Square Peg . Leila is responsible for raising assets and investor relations globally for Square Peg. This comprises institutions, wealth advisors, family office, high-net-worth individuals and asset consultants. She has considerable experience in developing relationships with asset owners across multiple asset classes and strategies. Previously, she was an Executive Director in the Institutional Sales team at Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM) (’09-’17). Leila is a CFA Charterholder and a CFA Society Melbourne Board member. She is a member of the Trinity College Investment Management Committee and has a Bachelor of Commerce and Media & Communications from The University of Melbourne.
