Alex Botte, CFA, CAIA, is the Head of Client and Portfolio Solutions at Runa Digital Assets, an investment firm specializing in digital asset portfolios. In this role, she is responsible for the investment risk framework, chairs the Risk Committee, and contributes to content, portfolio analytics, research, and client engagement. Botte was previously a Vice President at Two Sigma, where she produced investment management-related content and helped with the development of the firm's factor-based risk analytics platform, Venn. Prior to Two Sigma, she was at AQR Capital Management, where she most recently served as a Product Specialist for the firm’s Global Asset Allocation strategies. Prior to AQR, she worked in Prime Services at Barclays. Botte holds a bachelor’s of science in applied economics and management from Cornell University.

Thomas Jeegers is the author of the Bitcoin book “Understanding Crypto Fundamentals,” published in June 2023 by Springer Nature (Apress). He studied economics and computer science, with master’s degrees from the Catholic University of Louvain and Maastricht University, as well as an MBA from INSEAD. Specializing in financial risk management, Thomas gathered the advanced financial certifications CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst®) and FRM (Financial Risk Manager®) as well as blockchain certifications from prestigious institutions including INSEAD and Oxford University. He has worked in finance for over 10 years and is regularly speaker at events on Bitcoin, Cryptoassets, and Blockchain Technology.

Guenther Kornfellner, CFA, CAIA is a seasoned professional with over twenty years of extensive experience in equity and derivatives trading. His career includes serving as a portfolio manager for a Global Emerging Markets hedge fund, underscoring his profound understanding of this field. Since 2015, Guenther Kornfellner has been a valuable member of the Vienna Exchange Academy, where he holds numerous courses on investment as well as crypto topics. In addition to his professional endeavors, Guenther Kornfellner actively contributes to the academia by writing a dissertation on the topic of tokenization and the impact on the investment behavior of retail investors as well as acting as a lecturer at several universities of applied sciences. Moreover, his expertise extends to being a court- certified expert in derivative financial products, further attesting to his proficiency in this specialized domain.

Steve Novakovic, CAIA, CFA is the Managing Director, CAIA Curriculum for CAIA Association. In this role, he is responsible for managing the CAIA Charter curriculum, ensuring the content remains relevant and reflects current trends in the institutional asset allocator space. He joined CAIA Association in 2022 and has been a Charterholder since 2011. Prior to CAIA Association, Steve was a faculty member at Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY, where he taught a variety of finance courses including: Cryptocurrencies, Alternative Asset Management, and Wealth Management, among others. Before entering academia, he worked at his alma mater, Cornell University, (B.S. 2004, MPS 2006) in the Office of University Investments. In his time at Cornell University, Steve invested across a variety of asset classes for the $6 billion endowment. His twelve years at Cornell generated substantial insight into endowment management and fund investing across the alternatives and traditional landscape.
