Description:
CAIA France cordially invites you to join our upcoming event on Structure and Culture: Best practices in Due Diligence. This event will feature a presentation of the inaugural piece in the collaborative Professionalism in Practice series by CAIA and SBAI - Striking the Right Balance: Navigating ODD and IDD in Institutional Investments. Every investment inherently carries operational risk. For Chief Investment Officers and Investment Committees, adeptly maneuvering through these risks while establishing their investment programs stands as a critical challenge. This paper delves into the professionalization of Operational Due Diligence (ODD), and scrutinizes the significant challenges emerging in the post-financial crisis "Goldilocks" era, encompassing phenomena such as the 'fear of missing out' (FOMO), 'operational washing,' resource limitations, and power disparities within organizations. The research concludes by exploring the potential for ODD to generate Operational Alpha, and outlines essential considerations for investment leaders in constructing their investment programs. We are looking forward to a discussion within members and our keynote panellists, followed by a cocktail reception. Save the date and prepare for an exclusive evening where networking and knowledge intertwine for an enriching experience. AGENDA
