Reiner Braun
Organization: Technical University of Munich
Reiner Braun holds the Chair of Entrepreneurial Finance at the Technische Universität München (TUM). His research focuses on venture capital and private equity. Previously, he gained practical experience with Allianz Investment Management and has co-founded a private capital asset management company (equation AG).
Christoph Knaack
Organization: Preqin
Christoph Knaack, joined Preqn in 2020. He initially oversaw the company's product and corporate strategy, before becoming Preqin's CEO on 1 January 2022 - taking over the mantle from founder Mark O'Hare. As well as serving as the company's CEO, Christoph is also an executive member of the Board. Christoph's in-depth understanding of the alternatives industry is invaluable when overseeing Preqin's day-to-day operations and leading on the company's overall direction. Before joining Preqin, Christoph worked as a hedge fund investor at Davidson Kempner, and in the private equity team at Kohlberg Kravis Roberts. He started his career in investment banking at Morgan Stanley.
Nedelina Lazaroba
Organization: HQ Trust
Nedelina Lazarova is an Associate Partner and Investment Manager at HQ Trust, a German multifamily office. She is responsible for manager selection and ongoing monitoring of the private credit investments of HQ Trust. Prior to joining HQ Trust in 2020, she was the project lead on the Alternative Credit program of Viridium Gruppe, a German insurance run-off business. Her experience spans across various subsegments of Alternative Credit, including, but not limited to Corporate Private Debt, Asset-Backed Lending, Real Estate Debt, Infrastructure Debt, and Leveraged Finance.
Ahmet Peker
Organization: Empureon Capital Management
Ahmet Peker is a founding partner of Empureon Capital Management GmbH. Previously, he worked at FERI Trust GmbH from 2018 to 2023 in the Institutional Clients Germany division, which he also managed from the beginning of 2020 until his departure. In this role, he was responsible for the overall relationship management of institutional investors. He has been working in Asset Management since graduating in 2005 with a degree in business administration. After his studies he was initially a consultant at Ernst & Young AG. In 2007, he started at Deka Investment GmbH where he was a Senior Portfolio Manager, responsible for the conception and management of various funds, including Funds of Hedge Funds and Premium Strategies. Mr. Peker is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) since 2009 and has been the Co-Head of the Germany Chapter of the CAIA Association since 2015. He is the author and editor of various publications, such as books and articles, and has been a member of working groups at national and international associations. He is also a regular speaker at conferences and universities.
Fabian Richter
Organization: FINVIA Family Office
Fabian Richter is a Senior Investment Analyst at FINVIA Family Office and is responsible for portfolio construction and manager selection in the area of private equity and private debt. The focus of his work is advising family office clients on the construction of private equity and private debt portfolios. Fabian Richter holds a Master's degree in Corporate Finance and Financial Engineering from the University of Hong Kong and is a CFA.
