CAIA Miami Venture Capital Panel Event
Join the Miami Chapter of the CAIA Association on a timely panel discussing the evolving landscape of venture capital in South Florida.
The COVID-19 pandemic has had a sweeping impact on our global economy – specifically the geographic distribution of workers and industries. Previously concentrated primarily in Silicon Valley with New York as a secondary locale, the US-based venture capital ecosystem has decentralized, with major players opening offices in South Florida.
These moves are in line with the overall trend in finance that has seen many investment managers and large financial institutions either relocate or expand their presence in the region. This has accelerated the growth and increased the vibrancy of the local founder community. Against a macro backdrop that has put a strain on valuations and created a challenging fundraising environment, it’s anything but business as usual for South Florida VC. We have brought together allocators and investors to share their insights and thoughts about what lies ahead.
