Managing Commodities Risk and Generating Alpha: Alternative Data, Disruptive Technologies and Systematic Trading Strategies
Tuesday, May 28, 2019

Alternative data and disrupting technologies are re-shaping commodities and accelerating digital transformation.
Join us for an interactive session where two experts discuss the new opportunities and provide insight into how systematic trading, where clearly defined rules have been tested in advance, can be used to improve the risk-return ratio.  During this session you’ll learn how to:
  • Leverage “New World Signals” such as Big Data, Machine Learning, AI, the Internet of Everything, Blockchain, and Geospatial analytics to outperform the market with informed trade opportunities and unveiled risks.
  • Develop and test Systematic Trading Strategies that consider the entry, choice of position size, risk management and calculation of price target.
  • Use technical analysis tools, proper back test methods, and software for algorithmic trading to identify recurring patterns on the basis of historical data that enable decisions to be made on quantitative factors instead of relying on the trader's intuition and emotions.
