Description:
CAIA Australia Education Session on Insurance Linked Securities – Sydney
Wednesday, 26th February, 2020

The Executive Committee of CAIA's Australia Chapter is pleased to invite you to an exclusive educational luncheon on the topic of Insurance Linked Securities (ILS) with Rick Pagnani (PIMCO) and Courtney Wilder (JANA).

This session will provide an introduction to Insurance Linked Securities (“ILS”), an emerging alternative asset class. ILS investments have grown in popularity to the benefit of both alternatives investors seeking diversifying sources of return and insurance companies facing growing demand for global coverage from natural catastrophes. This session will provide an overview of the ILS investment landscape, potential portfolio benefits to ILS investors, and provide an update on current ILS market conditions.

The agenda will also include:
• Overview of different ILS instruments
• Potential social and economic benefits from ILS investments
• How ILS investors think about risk
• How ILS investors should assess investment managers

A light lunch will be provided by the CAIA Association and our venue is kindly provided by PIMCO.

Kind Regards,
Executive Committee of CAIA's Australia Chapter
