Description:Join the CAIA Association for a special afternoon event featuring Professor Greg Brown, Member of the CAIA Board of Directors and Rebekah Pang, CAIA, Chapter Head of CAIA Singapore. This is a unique opportunity to gain insights from industry leaders and connect with fellow professionals.
Since the end of 2021, private equity buyout funds have underperformed public benchmarks. This has renewed questions about the long-run performance expectations for private equity versus public equity. Historically, private equity fundraising and returns have been highly cyclical so differentiating in real time between normal cyclical variation and long-run secular decline is difficult.
Prof. Brown will present new results on PE performance based on research conducted by the Institute for Private Capital that decomposes recent performance to known cyclical factors and unexplained secular trends.
Join us for a dynamic discussion featuring: - Prof. Greg Brown, Distinguished Professor of Finance, University of North Carolina - Kenan-Flagler Business School; Director of Research, Institute for Private Capital, Member of the CAIA Board of Director
- Rebekah Pang, CAIA, Chapter Head of CAIA Singapore
