Sustainable Financing in China’s Markets - Webinar Series
September 15, 2020
China’s green bond market is already the second largest in the world, hitting $31.3bn of certified issuance in 2019, according to data from the Climate Bonds Initiative. It only looks likely to get bigger. A recent plan to remove clean coal from the list of eligible green bond projects in the onshore market will bring China much closer to international standards ─ and encourage a surge of investment from foreign portfolio managers.
GlobalCapitalChina and Euromoney Conferences will host a series of webinars on China’s sustainability-linked
bond market, exploring the opportunities, challenges and long-term potential of the market. Each webinar will build on the previous discussion, giving investors, analysts, bankers and other interested parties a guide to China’s green and sustainable financing markets. Our debut webinar will primarily focus on the overall appeal of China’s sustainable bond markets from both global investor and issuer perspectives. Global investors, Chinese issuers, and global issuers looking for funding channels in China’s markets, especially those being committed to the sustainability goals, are welcome to attend.
